Practise this following step to add add a control to a form / draw a control on a form:
Click the Control’s Toolbox Icon.
Move the mouse pointer over your Form. Notice that your pointer becomes a crosshair instead of an arrow. Click and hold the mouse button. As you hold the mouse button down, you will see the outline of your drawing control.
When your release the mouse button, the control appears.
