How To Check Your Ruby Version In Microsoft Windows

  1. open Command Prompt.
  2. type  ruby -v
    or
    type ruby --version
  3. press Enter on keyboard.
Notes: 
  • For Ruby CLI ( Command Line Interface ) documentation, type: ruby --help
  • The Default installation folder of Ruby : C:\Ruby27
  • The Default installation folder of Ruby Help Manual : C:\Ruby27\share\doc\ruby\html\
  • The number 27 in Ruby27 is only for sample, you can adjust to your Ruby installation.

How To Check Your Ruby Gems Version In Command Prompt

Ruby Gems is packaging/bundling tools in Ruby.
  1. open Command Prompt.
  2. type  gem -v
    or
    type gem --version
  3. press Enter on keyboard.
